There are now many 3D printer build surfaces: glass plates, PEI print beds and magnetic steel plates are just a few of the numerous options with which you can equip with your 3D printer. In addition to the classic print bed, you can also equip your device with special build plates and sheets, with which the filament adhesion to the printing platform is improved and warping is prevented. To make it easier to remove the print, flexible surfaces can be used, with which the model can be easily removed by bending it.

The days of hairspray, glue sticks, painters tape and all the other nonsense are over! A lot of people still use adhesion promoters, however, with the improved build plates we have today there are very few times you actually need them.
I am a firm believer that people have used these products as band-aids to a bigger problem (i.e. unlevel bed, wrong temps, or wrong print speeds).
